Every soul's rizq is written, and no one will die before receiving all of it. Yet the Qur'an and Sunnah also show us doors that bring barakah into provision — and doors that close it. Here are the most reliable ones.
1. Istighfar — asking Allah's forgiveness
Nuh (as) told his people that seeking forgiveness brings rain, wealth and children:
فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ
"Ask forgiveness of your Lord — He is ever Forgiving. He will send down abundant rain upon you, and give you increase in wealth and children…"
Qur'an 71:10–12
A simple daily habit: Astaghfirullāh 100 times, spread through the day.
2. Taqwa and tawakkul
وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُ مَخْرَجًا وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ
"Whoever is mindful of Allah, He will make a way out for him, and provide for him from where he does not expect."
Qur'an 65:2–3
3. The morning dua for halal rizq
The Prophet ﷺ used to say after the Fajr prayer:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً
Allāhumma innī as'aluka 'ilman nāfi'an, wa rizqan ṭayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.
Meaning: "O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good (halal) provision, and accepted deeds."

4. The dua for debt and depending on no one but Allah
A man burdened by debt came to Ali (ra), who taught him words that the Prophet ﷺ had taught him — saying that even if he owed a mountain of debt, Allah would settle it for him:
اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلاَلِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ
Allāhummakfinī bi-ḥalālika 'an ḥarāmik, wa aghninī bi-faḍlika 'amman siwāk.
Meaning: "O Allah, suffice me with what is halal instead of what is haram, and by Your grace make me independent of all besides You."

5. Shukr — gratitude
لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ
"If you are grateful, I will surely increase you."
Qur'an 14:7
6. Keeping ties with family (sila rahmi)
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever would like his provision to be increased and his life to be extended, let him maintain the ties of kinship."

What about Surah al-Waqi'ah?
Many people recite Surah al-Waqi'ah every night for rizq. Reciting any part of the Qur'an is rewarded — but you should know that the specific narration promising freedom from poverty for this surah is considered weak by many hadith scholars. Recite it for the Qur'an's sake, and rely most on the authentic practices above.
Dua goes together with effort. The Prophet ﷺ said that the birds go out hungry in the morning and return full — they trust Allah, and they go out. Earn halal, avoid riba and dishonesty, give sadaqah, and ask Allah to put barakah in what you have.
